Meet Our Champions
Al-Areeb Girls Shine at the National Girls in ICT Competition
We are thrilled to announce a major milestone for Al-Areeb School Kaduna—our girls have emerged as the North West Regional Winners at the National Girls in ICT Competition! 🎉
The competition, hosted by the Federal Ministry of Communication, Innovation and Digital Economy, brought together brilliant young minds from across the country to showcase innovative ideas in the world of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). And we’re proud to say that our girls rose to the challenge and came out on top.
Introducing TE-TECH: A Smart Way to Evaluate Teachers
The spotlight was on TE-TECH—a powerful and thoughtful innovation created by our learners to improve the way teachers are evaluated. TE-TECH (short for Teacher Evaluation Technology) is a digital solution that replaces the traditional, often subjective methods of teacher assessment with a more transparent, consistent, and tech-driven approach.
Through TE-TECH, our learners hope to create a system that gives schools clear insights into teaching performance using data, feedback, and digital tools. The goal is to support teachers, strengthen learning outcomes, and ultimately improve the quality of education.
It’s bold, smart, and speaks directly to real issues in our education system—and the judges agreed!
👧🏽 Young Girls, Big Ideas
What makes this victory even more special is that it came from a team of young girls who are passionate about using technology to solve real-world problems. They worked hard, thought critically, and presented with confidence—showing just how powerful girls can be when they’re given the right platform and encouragement.
This win isn’t just a celebration of innovation—it’s a celebration of possibility. Of what happens when we invest in our girls, believe in their ideas, and challenge them to think beyond the classroom.
